    Sir George is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most accomplished and visionary developers in the UK. Following a series of high-profile projects in Boston, Chicago, New York and Canada, Sir George came to the UK in 1987 to lead the Canary Wharf project, a landmark development that reshaped London’s skyline and positioned the city as a global financial hub.

    Over the course of his distinguished 35-year tenure at Canary Wharf Group, Sir George was responsible for over 30 million square feet of commercial, retail, and residential development in East London, the City, and the South Bank. His strategic leadership has left an indelible mark on the urban landscape, making him a key figure in the evolution of modern London.

    Sir George’s influence extends beyond the world of real estate. Sir George is an active figure in the charitable and cultural sectors, serving on the Development Boards of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Council of the Royal College of Music, Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and The British Museum, and as Vice-Patron of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

    In recognition of his contributions to charity, community, and the financial services sector, Sir George was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2003 and was knighted in 2011.

    Prior to joining St John’s Wood Square Limited, Gareth held key roles at Lend Lease in the UK and Australia, where he was instrumental in the development of large-scale residential projects. Gareth led multi-disciplinary design and delivery teams, ensuring the creation of high-quality, innovative, sustainable homes that redefined industry standards and contributed to substantial urban growth.

    With over 20 years of experience, Shane has established himself as a leading figure in Tier 1 Main Contractors, delivering a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including Health, Education, Residential, Retail, and Industrial.

    Before joining St John’s Wood Square Limited, Shane served as the Commercial Lead on a super-prime residential development in Chelsea, overseeing the project from its inception. This prestigious scheme was characterised by its innovative engineering solutions, exceptional interior design, and the highest standards of materials and craftsmanship.

    Shane holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying from Loughborough University. He further enhanced his professional credentials by completing a Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship Standard in Leadership, achieving a Distinction. Additionally, Shane is recognised as an Accredited Uptime Institute Tier Designer, demonstrating his expertise and commitment to excellence in the field.

    Mark is a highly accomplished industry leader with over 25 years of construction experience spanning commercial, residential, and retail development, as well as critical infrastructure projects, including bridges, roads, and major sports venues. His expertise extends to managing high-profile development projects with stringent heritage and conservation requirements, such as Battersea Power Station, Sandown Park, and BBC Broadcasting House.

    Before joining St John’s Wood Square Limited, Mark spent 13 years at Canary Wharf Contractors, where he played a pivotal role in delivering major commercial, residential, and retail developments, including the prestigious Southbank Place project (formerly the Shell Centre) and Wood Wharf – Canary Wharf’s 23-acre eastern extension. His expertise in managing these complex, large-scale developments solidified his reputation for delivering excellence in demanding urban environments.

    Earlier in his career, Mark worked at Bovis Lend Lease, ICM Services, Mace, and Mowlem. His academic credentials from Salford University and London Business School reinforce his strategic and operational acumen.

    Adam is a Chartered Architect with more than two decades of experience in the construction industry. Throughout his career, Adam has led all aspects of design, both on-site and off-site, ensuring that each development scheme meets the highest standards of aesthetic integrity, technical compliance, and operational efficiency.

    Before joining St John’s Wood Square Limited, Adam spent nine years at Ballymore, following a tenure at a leading architectural practice. He has successfully overseen the design and delivery of more than 10,000 homes over the past decade, demonstrating a mastery of complex, large-scale residential projects. Adam’s expertise and leadership in the field make him a highly regarded professional in the design community.

  • Adrian Forget

    Adrian Forget Technical Director

    Adrian is a Chartered Engineer and holds a master’s degree from the University of Bath, bringing extensive expertise in the design and execution of complex, large-scale, mixed-use, and multi-phase developments.

    Before joining St John’s Wood Square Limited, Adrian served as Head of Technical Services at the Battersea Power Station Development Company, where he led the design and delivery of mechanical and electrical systems, including specific engineering assets like the iconic Chimney Lift.

    Throughout his career, Adrian has held senior, long-term engineering roles in major infrastructure projects, spanning residential, retail, and commercial sectors. Notably, Adrian contributed to the successful delivery of landmark developments at the Olympic Village and The International Quarter, both located in Stratford, London.

  • Oliver Tiernay

    Oliver Tiernay General Counsel

    Oliver (Ollie) spent a decade at prestigious City firm, Travers Smith, where he qualified into the Real Estate team in 2004. His tenure at Travers Smith included a year-long secondment with the Royal Bank of Scotland, working within their Restructuring Division and gaining invaluable financial and corporate insight.

    In 2012, Ollie moved to an in-house role as Senior Legal Counsel for Canary Wharf Group plc, where he served for another ten years, specialising in large-scale development projects, intricate corporate structuring, and complex joint ventures, reinforcing his expertise in the sector.

    Notably, Ollie played a pivotal role as Lead Counsel on the Southbank Place development – a landmark, mixed-use project delivered by Braeburn Estates – a joint venture between Canary Wharf Group plc and Qatari Diar. Ollie’s leadership and legal acumen were instrumental in the successful delivery of this high-profile project and cemented his position as a leading authority in real estate law and development.
